The Fairweathers Marlborough senior residential men’s and women’s doubles titles were decided at the Forrest Winery Tennis Centre on Sunday.
Clashes with the grape harvest and a number of other activities may have dampened numbers, but not the quality of tennis.
In the women's final Amber Lyons and Caroline Cornelius started positively and had the early break on the tournament favourites Pauline Fudge and Donna Clark. However, the experience and consistency of the now six-time winners proved too much as they took out the title 6-4 6-1.
In the men's draw the two top seeds battled out a very entertaining match.
After a slow start Joshua Joseph and Glen Cameron worked out some great tactics in the second set to keep Hamish McRae and Stephen Dempster on their toes, however the top seeds battled through for the win.
Hamish picked up his second residential doubles crown, having previously won the men's doubles with Hamish Morrow in 2017.
